Why We Do What We Do

 

• Able to empathise through personal experience of being long term unemployed.  Having feelings of hopelessness and believing that there is little prospect of finding sustainable employment.

 

• Passionate about reaching people who may feel "unreachable".  Connecting with people is our business.

 

• Enhancing our communities, improving lives.  The impact one person in employment can have on them, their family and their community.

 

• Turning around the feelings of dissolution that people may experience when accessing mainstream employment services. Our beneficiaries will no longer feel as though they are just going through the motions as we realise that a "one size fits all" service doesn't work.

 

• Focusing on sustainable employment not just brief solutions.

 

How We Do What We Do

 

• Taking a holistic approach by considering the whole person and just not focusing on their ability to find employment.  We realise that a person's personal circumstances can impact on their ability to find a job.

 

• Providing a service that meets the needs of the person rather than providing a service that people have tofit into.

 

• Adopting an action plan approach focusing on identifying realistic goals into employment and how the person intends to achieve them with our support.

 

• Taking a non-judgemental approach and maintaining the dignity of our beneficiaries.

 

• Creating a relaxed but structured environment where people want to engage.

 

What We Do

 

• Undertake a skills/experience audit, find out what people want to do and where the gaps are.

 

• Provide access to training and accredited qualifications.

 

• Provide acccess to quality volunteering and work experience.

 

• Provide engagement and mentoring support throughout your journey to increase your opportunities to finding employment.

 

• Provide information, advice and guidance for those who may need access additional services/agencies that support their journey to employment.
